NVCCS are a local christian community organisation based in the Nambucca Valley on the Mid North Coast in Nambucca Heads NSW.

Lyn Sellers from NVCCS approached Social Space needing an updated website design which needed to be responsive, modern and easy for their students and parents to navigate but keeping fun in mind, whilst reaching a broader audience. Refresh their existing website content in a more easily readable fashion, and fix up the links that went nowhere plus adding new contact forms.

NVCCS old website was a-hard-to navigate website that did not do a good job of reflecting their culture, community focus, or School. New users or users unfamiliar with the website layout found it difficult to discover more about NVCCS's classes, and a non-intuitive site layout exacerbated the problem. The various tabs of their layout did not explain what the user was expected to do, and overall NVCCS felt that their site experience was lacking for many years due to long overdue website refresh.

In addition, NVCCS has a powerful logo and a long-standing reputation for being a pillar of the community, but their old website reflect their dated branding. Their Google My Business listing wasn't claimed, with the addition of no website analytics or reporting for measurability.

Plus, there older site also only displayed a Desktop mobile version, so their new site needed mobility optimisation to create a unified look and feel across all devices.

Keeping in mind NVCCS’s goals to have a usable, modern and easy website. Social Space got to work designing a custom, responsive website centered around their community culture.We built the site using Duda's website builder , so NVCCS’s team could easily update their site with the goings-on within their organisation. We chose one of Social Space existing website templates to form the initial base.

The design of their new website is focused on making sure that the site visitors knew what NVCCS did from Kindergarten all the way to High School through to Year 12, reflected into their community. The new site is much more accurate and reflects NVVCS’s branding and connection with the local residences of the Nambucca Valley. In addition there new site has clear navigation footer.

Not only NVCCS’s new website is well-branded, easy to navigate, but also and accurately reflects both their connection to the local community and their various classes and services. Right at the top of the site there is hero area for the logo and the schools sliding images immediately establishing both NVCCS’s brand and thought out design 'dip' on the slider image to encourage the user to what's more? As visitors scroll down, there are large and obvious buttons for on-site interactions such as requesting, learning more or scheduling in a school tour. Compared to the previous layout, the new site is much user friendly and easier to navigate in addition to being easily customizable moving forward.

Having your site secured with an SSL certificate is important for site quality and integrity. It’s good for SEO because Google’s search engine views HTTPS & HTTPS (Version2) sites more positively than non-HTTPS sites. (Pushing webmasters to encrypt their sites is one of the search giants latest initiatives. Google’s Chrome browser has even started tagging sites that aren’t HTTPS with a “Not secure” tag, which looks as bad as you think it would).
